November 8th 2020
Last night, at 03:13 UT (04:13 local time), a bright fireball flew above Alborán Sea (Southwest of Mediterranean Sea) just in front of Granada and Almería (South Spain) coasts.
This event could be registered with the SMART Project's detectors located at Calar Alto (Almería), Sierra Nevada and La Sagra (Granada), La Hita (Toledo) and Seville Observatories.
Two of the Calar Alto Observatory (Almería) external surveillance webcams could also follow this object.
The spectrum emission lines of this fireball can be appreciated on the left image.
November 2nd 2020
During the night of the first of November, two bright fireballs could be seen on the skies.
The first one, at 18:53 UT (19:53 local time) happened on the skies of Castilla La Mancha (South Spain). This object could be registered with the SMART Project detectors operated at Calar Alto (Almería), La Sagra (Granada), Siera Nevada (Granada), La Hita (Toledo) and Seville observatories.
Concerning the second one, the results of the analysis are provisional. It seems to flew above North Africa skies at 22:30 UT (23:30 local time) and ended with a big explosion. This information will be updated if we can get more data about this fireball.
Both of them could also be recorded with three of the Calar Alto Observatory surveillance webcams.
October 12th 2020
Last night a brilliant fireball with spectacular fulgurations flew above South Spain’s skies at 01:59 local time (23:59 UT of October 11th).
This object was registered with SMART Project’s detector operated at Calar Alto (Almería), La Hita (Toledo), La Sagra (Granada) and Seville observatories.
September 29th 2020
A new bright fireball flew above Castilla La Mancha (South Spain) last September 29th 2020 at 23:22 UT (01:22 local time of September 30th).
This object could be registered with the SMART Project's detectors operated at La Sagra (Granada), Sierra Nevada (Granada), La Hita (Toledo) and Seville observatories.
Although the SMART detector at Calar Alto Observatory (Almería) couldn't register the event, one of the external surveillance webcams of this observatory was able to record the video.
September 14th 2020
A new bright fireball flew above mid south Spain's skies on September 14th 2020.
This event happened at 00:22 UT (02:22 local time) above Ciudad Real and Córdoba provincies and could be registered with the SMART Project's detectors operated at Calar Alto (Almería), La Sagra (Granada), La Hita (Toledo) and Seville observatories.
The object could also be registered with one of the Calar Alto Observatory (Almería) external surveillance webcam.
