In order to track down and eliminate errors and problems, the instrument
developers need user feedback. In case of any error, follow the recipe below
and leave an error message - this typically costs you no more than 1 minute of
your time, but helps us to better support and improve PMAS.

On rike prompt, go to error message directory, type alias:
cderr
Open editor to copy-paste an error message or write quick description of
problem. Chosse a "speaking" filename, including our date convention, e.g.:
nedit my_funny_error_040829.txt
Grab an error message from an xterm using mouse, paste into your error message,
and add additional comments (only if necessary).
(In the case of the nedit editor, save with Ctrl-s,
and quit with Ctrl-q).
